Develop a New Brand Strategy for
HandsOn Bay Area
HandsOn Bay Area (HOBA) strengthens communities through volunteer action and leadership development. We creates opportunities for people to volunteer, learn and lead in their communities. We strive to provide volunteers with a high-quality experience that fuels further action, and we envision a day when everyone is inspired and equipped to be the change they wish to see in the world.
HOBA staff works with local nonprofits, schools and parks to identify high-impact, group-based volunteer projects. These projects may meet an ongoing need of an organization or its clients, or they may be one-time, large-scale transformations of facilities or green spaces. We recruit volunteers to get the job done and match each project with a trained Project Leader to ensure that both the community partner and the volunteers are satisfied with the work.
Not only do we manage more than 80 direct-service projects a month, we offer educational programming to help volunteers become well-informed community leaders. HOBA's book clubs, film screenings and leadership training allow community members to deepen their knowledge of community issues, develop personally and professionally and learn effective tools to create change.
Our volunteer projects provide more than 65,000 hours of service to more than 200 nonprofits across the Bay Area, meeting critical community needs including education and literacy, HIV/AIDS, health and aging, homelessness and hunger, and the environment.
HandsOn Bay Area is an affiliate of HandsOn Network, an alliance of innovative volunteer management organizations across the country and around the world.
HandsOn Network & Points of Light Institute's collective network -- now the largest volunteer management network in the nation -- works with 83% of people volunteering in America each year, engaging more than 70,000 nonprofits, government agencies, faith based organizations and companies to get involved and make change happen in their communities.
HandsOn Bay Area would like to engage a Community Partners team to help create a strong brand strategy for its community programs. This may include a competitive analysis on other community service organizations, an in-depth review of the HandsOn Bay Area demographics, a clear statement of the brand value and a recommendation of key messages to convey to potential customers.
